A week of school has passed since school reopened! pretty fast. Spent most of the week finishing June holidays homework. haha! at last, i'm done with them!
I did something for the first time in my life this week. I SLEPT AT 5AM ON A THURSDAY NIGHT.oops i mean friday morning. 16 pages of ace okay! THEN I WOKE UP AT 6AM. In other words i slept for AN HOUR ONLY! Amazing and amusing! I didn't feel tired at all during school! I skipped lunch too because i had to finish my zuowen, do some band admin stuff and finish the conclusion to my ace report. As a result, i had my lunch at 5.10pm and also drank a can of coffee(because qy told me to and so did she) The can said that the coffee would release the energy within our body. It was like LOL. We didn't like coffee but finished it for the sake of boosting up our energy for that night happened to be SYF opening ceremony. A bunch of us had to go indoor stadium at night to watch the celebrations. We took a bus there and had a hair discussion. and sh did something cool with her hair by sticking a pen in or something. ahah dunno how to describe.
We reached there early and were allowed to visit kallang leisure park ( the new shopping centre) so i had dinner at 6.20pm :D I almost didn't finish my hokkien mee! At the indoor stadium the atmosphere was very lively. Lots of Primary school kids hahaha. Really enjoyed the performance but we missed the fancy drills by NPCC :( But we saw really cool bands and drum majors who can perform tricks with the staff(is that what you call the metal thing?) And then towards the end was saw the twins nicole and tabitha as well as Shawn from CSS. And there were floating marshmellows!! hahaha! It was like a mini NDP. ANd they even gave us pink flags to wave :D
The celebratiosn ended pretty early but leaving the place took quite a long time. Nicholas and chingying almost went mad because of their 'high'ness! Terence was offering ppl toilet paper and a certain someone collected TEN PINK FLAGS!! lool. you know who you are. The rest of us were pretty normal i should say.
Thank goodness we had ben's father to fetch the NEL people to suitable stops. It was in the car that the fatigue started to kick in. then i my eyes became teary lol. Reached home, bathed and turned on the TV to watch the last 15 minutes or so of ghost whisperer. But i fell aseep halfway. LOL. Only rmbed the mum saying that the ghostie must have mistook her daughter for her because ghostie thought he was still in the past and wanted revenge. Or something like that. If anyone is willing to tell me what happened during that episode i don't mind listening :)

Don't have many pictures of dreamworld, sadly. Took the claw, cyclone,repta coaster and giant drop. We almost got to take TOT! it's like we queued for 1/2 hr until we were exactly the next batch to take the ride when they suddenly reported that there were some techinical problems and that the ride would only resume 25minutes later, earliest. Gah! so we left cos there wasn't much time.

being sick is absolutely disgusting. i coughed out phlegm with some blood again during dinner today. luckily i was finishing cos after that i lost my appetite. it wasn't exactly from my throat though. it was more of somewhere at the back of my nosepipe or sth. i don't like the taste of blood. My bro said it could be cancer. like wth-_- well anyway my fever subsided to around 37.8 degrees already. that hardly counts as a fever does it ;)
okay away from that morbid part of the post.. I love my LA GROUP! (apart from chih chi) yes, they totally rock. C: we've just settled a meeting time tmr. 9.30am! That means it's time to get some sleep.

lala. i forgot to mention ytd that my phone's screen was smashed quite badly. No i didn't drop it.. i put it in my pocket while carrying the djembes and after i was done with that there was this huge crack across the screen -.- As if that wasn't bad enough.. when i pressed a button to light up the screen, all i saw was some intricate spiderweb design. Actually it was quite cool.. it would have made a very artistic screensaver, but too bad it's permanent. lol. argh damn sad. my poor phone T_T i woke up this morning feeling cold again.. 38.4 degrees. so i took a panadol tablet but decided not to sleep. roar. i thought i had recovered ytd night -.-

oh man why am i back in singapore already :( wish i had another week in brisbane or something! spending a week with dhssb in brisbane was awesome! Although sometimes we got scolded it was generally a great week(: i'll miss my cute juniors and beloved squadmates >< Our playing improved! was totally HIGH on concert night :P Poema sounded like something now! The musical exchanges were cool cos we got to meet australian students! We could have spent more time at movieworld and dreamworld but oh well, i enjoyed the rides (: And omg the jackfruits are so yummy! i LOVE the weather there! even when it drizzles it feels as though it's snowing! Well sadly i had to fall sick on the last day of the trip -.- it would have been great if i survived unscathed throughout. lol. When i got on the plane i started feeling a little warm. After 'dinner' at 1am i was burning inside and the top of my throat felt painful. i couldn't sleep properly.. by the time the plane landed, i was sweating. At the airport, i started shivering and was feeling quite dizzy. i think i didn't smile when they took the band photo-.- Anyway, i was so glad when i saw my parents.. Took a panadol tablet in the car and slept all the way. At home, my temp was 38.9 degrees so i took another panadol tablet and slept. Woke up at 1.30pm, had lunch and bathed. Then i took temperature again, it was 39.1degrees.. like wth. i just bathed in COLD water leh. so i took another 2 tablets and slept for the rest of the day. When i woke up at 8pm i started coughing out a lot of phlegm. Some of them had a little blood in it. quite disgusting. But was feeling much better already. temperature was 37.8 degrees! I gave up sleeping after that.. like i've been sleeping for almost the whole day. I've loaded the pictures onto my computer. lalala. Apparently it's quite a lot. Haha, just looking through them brings back a lot of memories. hai so sad it's over already >< will miss JH Band loads.

Okay now for Band stuff (: had band camp this week. Monday was the first time i had to shout commands in the parade square during flag-raising. I think i'm too soft-__- use diaphragm! Our playing was so-so only >< had to remind cuimeng what to say for flag-lowering LOL.he must be nervous. How can one not study and get a GPA of 4! hai too smart! haha
wednesday was PERFECT. everyone was so in tune. I guess it's because we played in balance! Mr Ng's lecture really does help :D whee. because of that, the other Mr Ng was in high spirits. comments a bit racist but funny and when he's happy the whole band is happy. hallelujah!
On Thursday we didn't play as well >< so some ppl were quite disappointed. sec4s had to play Carioca with SH band for the closing ceremony on 19th June. I like carioca cos it's jazzy and all. :D The feel when you're playing with senior high band is so different compared to JH. i guess they're more highly-skilled, but i love JH band more x) Mrs wong then held a briefing for the ppl going on the brisbane trip. we got our tour booklets finally! mine's pink cover and blue pages haha. Itinerary's looks fine just that NOT ENOUGH TIME AT DREAMWORLD! >_< We got our FOC hand carrier bags from NTUC too. Then i was hoping that my father could fetch me home but turns out my phone was flat( again, argh so irritating)so i borrowed jiaying's battery. To my horror, my parents were attending some talk that night and they wouldn't be home till 10pm. Worst of all, i didn't bring my keys-.- i was thinking what on earth should i do when i remembered that i had to buy a gift for mr ng. Then came another problem. what should i buy-_- lol, so i went for dinner with mich, ching and nicholas at ghim moh first. I dropped my phone! it's badly scarred now. cover can't close properly also. Had to borrow ching ying's batt this time to check if it was working. according to ching my battery was FAT. which was true after comparing lol, whatever lah. a few more mths before i can change phone. It was already 8plus when we walked to the MRT. Mich's hair looked like those women in chinese shows set ancient times thanks to nicholas hahaha! Then later nicholas was kind enough to accompany to Plaza Sing when it was already so late. we visited quite a lot of shops but didn't find anything suitable. and there's this make your own bear shop o_o quite cool but damn expensive. Then nicholas was so excited over the sunglasses and so we took picture. -steals photo-
i shall not put the other photo cos it's blur and i didn't shove the tag in properly so i looked spastic-.- It was only after we fooled around that we realised the staff was like at the next rack of sunglasses LOL. nvrmind la we didn't get scolded.:P We also went to some music shop hoping to find something but ended up playing with the electronic piano. i learnt Consonant! Dissonant! anyway in the end i got mr ng a pretty maroon tie and a blue mug saying something meaningful which unfortunately i forgot =/ sth like a teacher creates the future and something the present. or maybe i rmbed wrongly-.- Reached home around 10.40pm?
Friday passed really quickly. Maybe cos we spent the first 1.5 hrs doing an essay test on the lectures we've had so far. ( it was a pop test o_o) so i just wrote whatever i knew i guess. i didn't have much time for the last question tho lalala. Then it was full band all the way. poema sounded much better. on the whole, we sounded good(: Heard the sec1 band play. not bad la :D Before we knew it, it was lunch time! First time in all the days that we had sufficient time to eat at ghim moh! Next was mozart which we rehearsed both in and outside band room haha. quite in tune, i was happy. Then came Carioca with senior high band. nicenice :D yuan ming was super late tho-.- Then it was briefing from mrs wong while i frantically wrote the card which i totally forgot abt. :P Talking abt cards, let me digress a little. okay back to the topic- I hope Mr Ng was happy with the gift! later had some issues with SJ regarding the flagpoles stuff because we ended earlier than usual >< i also scolded my jnr during flag-lowering. i think i was fierce but i had to. Band's discipline is important. Then my dad could fetch so i chatted a while with chu lei and nicholas. and omg i ate a chicken wing that belonged to another CCA o_o very sinful. My dad came and whoo! home sweet homeee :D
P.S> a lot sec4s have mentioned about this band camp being our last band camp with JH but still there's the brisbane trip right?! don't get to emotional yet! I hope everybody has the time of their lives on this trip. And yes i'm so glad our jnrs are improving!

okay, fastforward to elective week! I joined Green Green Grass, a geography elective. On monday we went Pulau Ubin for a sensory trail and chek Jawa board walk. Learnt about many types of plants and what they're used for. Even tried the mulberry:D ooh yummy! I saw the manmade scarecrows too. LOL quite funny. There was this unusual plant that had twigs shaped like bones. Mr Yeo ( our knowlegeable guide from NUS) told us they could be quite scary at night haha. There are wild boars in Pulau Ubin! LOL i wish i got to see one. Made new friends too, together we formed A.S.S.O.! amanda samantha shen mei and ovidia! (: we rock!
On tuesday we went tuas grassland. it's a waterlogged area and i got my feet submerged in muddy water. I never knew that those tall grass had so much biodiversity. the eggs of the apple snail were pink. and the smallest dragonfly in Singapore called the pygmy dragonfly is really tiny! this large only> |--------| haha We saw huge dragonflies and damselflies too. I CAUGHT A DAMSELFLY! actually i was trying to catch the red pygmy dragon( which ovidia and i failed after trying more htan 10 times.. like so close yet so far!) then this damselfly landed next to it and i stretched my itchy fingers and caught it just like that :D the tail was SUPER LONG OKAY> |--------------------------| i'm not lying! anyway, we also took various group photos.

We learnt about more trees and the sounds of hte rainforests are made my CICADAS! it's a kind of insect which in my opinion looks creepy but accordignto Mr Yeo they're relatively harmless (: And we saw a monitor lizard eating a live centipede which was humongous. serious. the width of the centipede was like |-----------| Oh yes you can imagine.

Thursday was a break for us but i went back to school anyway to settle some band stuff and hand up my bio file ( which in the end i didn't-.-) then i went to ovidia's house to start on the presentation. Oh man we were crazy over the wheel snack. her mum was so nice, she treated us to lunch>< Then i went for CIP at pasir ris YMCA. There were few kids there that day cos the upper primary students were having a post exam camp. I tuitioned this girl who had a twin. She didn't wear her spectacles for half the time unti i asked her why she was bending so close. Like omg she's supposed to wear her specs! I told her that she should take care of her eyes and all so that she wouldn't end up like me haha. But she seemed very proud that she started wearing spectacles since K2. like wth? doesn't she get my point-.- okay nvm haha. kids afterall, i'm sure she'll understand when she gets older. After that i went to Amanda's house to sleepover :D her house is huge lol. such nice comfy bed. Samantha came too:D
Woke up the next morning with 2 alarms blasting in our ears. it was 3.15am. HA. we totally stoned for 5minutes cos only had around 2.5-3 hrs of sleep. ha but no choice we had to leave the house already. 4am at bedok mrt. The bus was late-.- Then off to Pulau semakau! On the boat ride there apparently i fell asleep on ovidia's left shoulder and justin on her right shoulder. Poor ovid, she had a hard time lol. when we reached it was still dark.
But of course it brightened. If you notice carefully, there's a rainbow effect in both pictures. it was such a splendid sight!<3
