HI EVERYONE :D
i found the mood and time to post again! :P i apologise for my negligence.
okay in this post, i shall mention briefly what happened at YEAR 4 LEVEL CAMP IN KOTA TINGGI!
Camp was awesome! The theme was PIRATES and the motto was " oppose piracy, support piratism" haha quite cool eh. All the year 4s were split into 3 ships: Draka, Hydra and Scorpia (DHS)My group was Scorpia! :D WHOO! My instructor was JOE and KK, a pair of good buddies. " when i say MOJOE you say JOEJOE. MOJOE-JOEJOE, MOJOE-JOEJOE! ; when i say KK you say HOSPITAL, KK-HOSPITAL, KK- Hospital! " haha they rocked! Jokes were damn lame but they taught us a lot of stuff and were super caring, especially Joe! Our Ship captain was FREDDIE (big-nose! lol) The camp was 5days 4nights at Kota Tinggi rainforest resort. We experienced sleeping in both tents and chalets.
On the first day, went trekking up Gunung Panti (mt) i rmb i was quite paranoid abt leeches at first haha in the end only a few ppl were unfortunate enough to get bitten. We did field cooking and a couple of us mixed baked beans with our instant noodles. It was yummy but v salty LOL. We took a ship photo at 3/4 up the mountain and went back down because it was getting too steep. Actually i wouldn't mind if we went all the way up to the peak ><
On the second day went to climb pelapah waterfalls! DAMN FUN! i love the feel of water gushing through my toes! :D and we got to play in this pool near the top with Freddie dancing away lol! It was rather cold after that cause we were all drenched ahaha. too bad they cancelled the confidence jungle night walk at night :(
On the 3rd day we went kayaking in Johor river. I will say it was generally FUN. but then something happened lalala and got scolded-.- Partly my fault. Disappointed a few ppl :( Anyway, in the evening we saw fireflies on the cruise down Johor river!They were so pretty! The atmosphere was so romantic, ba zhang was narrating her own romance novel while jiale and i listened and commented on some parts and Joe was probably eavesdropping while he pretended to be sleeping haha. However it's so saddening to learn that fireflies only have 4hrs to shine before their life ends =( sigh, that's why they're ever so pretty when they shine right?
On the 4th day, i spent the morning writing reflections as punishment and the afternoon playing Mass games involving waterbombs and targets that were out of reach( it was a bit of a let down)but, CAMPFIRE NIGHT WAS THE BEST! omg i love cheering the scorpia cheer! <3 i think our cheer was the best xD Class item was okay i guess, HFMD LOL. We were so ecstatic that night, it was only nearing the end that we got a little tired haha. But in the end a lot of us started feeling very emotional and sentimental. lala i teared >< Thank goodness the debrief was in the dark lol. but from the voices you could tell aha. Only a few of the instructors cried. well i guess they were pretty used to this kind of thing already.
The last day was a short one. We helped to keep the life jackets in the MPH. All the years 4s then gathered in the canteen to listen to camp commander and commandant make their speeches + prize-giving ceremony. We didn't win anything but i'm perfectly alright with that because i had such a great time at camp (: The way back was a smooth ride. Autograph session on the bus! and Joe gave us a paper trophy! haha teared some more and then had lunch with wanyu and qinying at tampines. we wrote all the cheers that we learnt down for fear of forgetting them ><
Thanks everyone for making this camp so memorable! I'll rmb the times with my friends, the instructors and the serene environment at Kota Tinggi! whoo (:
