Okay now for Band stuff (:
had band camp this week. Monday was the first time i had to shout commands in the parade square during flag-raising. I think i'm too soft-__- use diaphragm! Our playing was so-so only >< had to remind cuimeng what to say for flag-lowering LOL.he must be nervous. How can one not study and get a GPA of 4! hai too smart! haha
wednesday was PERFECT. everyone was so in tune. I guess it's because we played in balance! Mr Ng's lecture really does help :D whee. because of that, the other Mr Ng was in high spirits. comments a bit racist but funny and when he's happy the whole band is happy. hallelujah!
On Thursday we didn't play as well >< so some ppl were quite disappointed. sec4s had to play Carioca with SH band for the closing ceremony on 19th June. I like carioca cos it's jazzy and all. :D The feel when you're playing with senior high band is so different compared to JH. i guess they're more highly-skilled, but i love JH band more x) Mrs wong then held a briefing for the ppl going on the brisbane trip. we got our tour booklets finally! mine's pink cover and blue pages haha. Itinerary's looks fine just that NOT ENOUGH TIME AT DREAMWORLD! >_< We got our FOC hand carrier bags from NTUC too. Then i was hoping that my father could fetch me home but turns out my phone was flat( again, argh so irritating)so i borrowed jiaying's battery. To my horror, my parents were attending some talk that night and they wouldn't be home till 10pm. Worst of all, i didn't bring my keys-.- i was thinking what on earth should i do when i remembered that i had to buy a gift for mr ng. Then came another problem. what should i buy-_- lol, so i went for dinner with mich, ching and nicholas at ghim moh first. I dropped my phone! it's badly scarred now. cover can't close properly also. Had to borrow ching ying's batt this time to check if it was working. according to ching my battery was FAT. which was true after comparing lol, whatever lah. a few more mths before i can change phone. It was already 8plus when we walked to the MRT. Mich's hair looked like those women in chinese shows set ancient times thanks to nicholas hahaha! Then later nicholas was kind enough to accompany to Plaza Sing when it was already so late. we visited quite a lot of shops but didn't find anything suitable. and there's this make your own bear shop o_o quite cool but damn expensive. Then nicholas was so excited over the sunglasses and so we took picture. -steals photo-
i shall not put the other photo cos it's blur and i didn't shove the tag in properly so i looked spastic-.- It was only after we fooled around that we realised the staff was like at the next rack of sunglasses LOL. nvrmind la we didn't get scolded.:P
We also went to some music shop hoping to find something but ended up playing with the electronic piano. i learnt Consonant! Dissonant! anyway in the end i got mr ng a pretty maroon tie and a blue mug saying something meaningful which unfortunately i forgot =/ sth like a teacher creates the future and something the present. or maybe i rmbed wrongly-.- Reached home around 10.40pm?
Friday passed really quickly. Maybe cos we spent the first 1.5 hrs doing an essay test on the lectures we've had so far. ( it was a pop test o_o) so i just wrote whatever i knew i guess. i didn't have much time for the last question tho lalala. Then it was full band all the way. poema sounded much better. on the whole, we sounded good(: Heard the sec1 band play. not bad la :D Before we knew it, it was lunch time! First time in all the days that we had sufficient time to eat at ghim moh! Next was mozart which we rehearsed both in and outside band room haha. quite in tune, i was happy. Then came Carioca with senior high band. nicenice :D yuan ming was super late tho-.- Then it was briefing from mrs wong while i frantically wrote the card which i totally forgot abt. :P
Talking abt cards, let me digress a little. Here's a picture of Mrs wong's bday card. i'm so proud of it. Yujia's magnificent artwork + my tree and chimney and messy handwriting lol.
okay back to the topic-
I hope Mr Ng was happy with the gift! later had some issues with SJ regarding the flagpoles stuff because we ended earlier than usual >< i also scolded my jnr during flag-lowering. i think i was fierce but i had to. Band's discipline is important. Then my dad could fetch so i chatted a while with chu lei and nicholas. and omg i ate a chicken wing that belonged to another CCA o_o very sinful. My dad came and whoo! home sweet homeee :D
P.S> a lot sec4s have mentioned about this band camp being our last band camp with JH but still there's the brisbane trip right?! don't get to emotional yet! I hope everybody has the time of their lives on this trip. And yes i'm so glad our jnrs are improving!
